Kids on attraction

Can I wait the line for a ride and have my husband and kids meet me in the line as I get closer to the ride? Or can we use the rider-switch so only I wait the line and have the rest of my family meet me once I get to the ride?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ivelis! Rider Switch is a great way for families with little ones to save some extra time when you're riding an attraction that has a height requirement. It's super easy to use, and it has gotten even easier now that it's gone fully digital and is integrated with your MagicBand!

If you'd like to enjoy an attraction that offers Rider Switch, like Avatar Flight of Passage at Disney's Animal Kingdom, let the Cast Member at the podium know that you'd like ride using the service. You'll scan your MagicBands to be issued Rider Switch entitlements and one group will need to wait in line, but a second riding group can wait outside of the attraction so they're free to do other things, like take care of the Mouseketeers who aren't quite tall enough to ride. When the first group is finished riding, the second group can then enter the attraction using the FastPass+ queue. The Rider Switch entitlement is good for up to three guests, so keep that in mind when you're working out who wants to wait in line and who will stay behind. If you all want to ride together without splitting your party into two riding groups, your whole group will need to wait together in the queue. Think about scheduling a FastPass+ for these attractions so you can skip the standby line!

Let me know if you have any more questions, Ivelis!
