Do we have to wait to make dining reservations once our trip is paid in full or can we start reservations after making the down payment, as long as its 180 days till we arrive?

    Hi, Brittney!

Mark your calendar for you 180 booking window because you can start the dining reservation process on that day. Your resort reservation does not have to be paid in full prior to making dining reservations. Although your vacation is not yet paid for, log in to your My Disney Experience prior to the dining reservation process so you can book your dining for your entire stay (up to 10 days).

Dining reservations can be made online or by calling (407)WDW-DINE. A credit card will be needed to hold your reservation. There is a cancellation policy for no-shows, so make sure to cancel any unwanted reservations (see each restaurants for policies, but generally there is a 24 hour cancellation policy).

Some of the hard to get locations include Cinderella's Royal Table and Be Our Guest, so secure those right away if they are on your wish list. Remember that Quick Service locations do not take dining reservations, so enjoy those locations at your leisure.

Good luck and I hope you lock in all your favorite dining locations!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
