Is the VQ the only way to ride GoG during Epcot extra evening hours (for deluxe resort guests)? Also, how long is the average wait in VQ line during that time? Thanks.

Welcome, Maggie and all you EPCOT Terrans! I'm glad you intend to save the galaxy on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is an adventure like no other I've experienced, so I know you'll want to jump back in time to help Star-Lord. Let's look at your options for experiencing this spinning, swirling attraction.

I checked with an extraterrestrial Cast Member who confirmed that guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts could join the virtual queue for this attraction at 6 PM on the evenings when Extended Evening Theme Park Hours are offered, and you do not need to be scanned into EPCOT to join this virtual queue. Please remember you need a Theme Park Reservation for EPCOT or the Park Hopper Option to join the virtual queue. You'll be assigned a boarding group and can watch the My Disney Experience Mobile App to see your return window time. There is no standby queue for this attraction, although policies could change.

Another option is to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at 7 AM on the morning of your visit. You'll need a Theme Park Reservation for EPCOT or the Park Hopper Option to do this. When you go to the Tip Board and select the option to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane for this attraction, the Cast Member said you should be able to choose a time slot during those Extended Evening Hours. And the best part is you can purchase this in addition to utilizing the virtual queue! Both options typically fill up quickly, so I'd be as quick at Rocket Raccoon, whichever you decide.

Those wait times when returning for your boarding group for the virtual queue can vary. I once walked on in five minutes, but I waited over half an hour on another visit. Typically, the wait for guests who purchase an Individual Lightning Lane is a bit shorter, but again, it's hard to predict and depends on many factors. I find the queue entertaining and fun, and I notice something new every time!

Although the Guardians love to say, "Good luck! You're gonna need it!" I think you're going to do just fine, Maggie. I hope your upcoming trip is out of this world. Stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
