Hi, Karen!
Ahoy, and welcome aboard
Disney Cruise Line! It sounds like you are starting to
pack for your Disney Cruise. My best suggestion is to not over pack. Disney Cruises are generally resort casual, so keep it simple when packing. There are also
laundry facilities available on every ship, so you can always toss in quick load if you are running low on clean clothes.
I am so glad you are asking this question as it is super important for all cruisers to know this information. Please plan to keep a day bag with you that contains all your medication and vitamins, as well as your passports, valuables, and anything you might need the first few hours of your cruise. After dropping your luggage with the porters at the cruise terminal, you will not see your bags for a few hours until they are delivered to your stateroom door. The porters are wonderful and they will remind you to check your
carry-on for all your necessities but plan ahead so you can quickly drop your checked bags and head to the cruise terminal to check-in for your sailing.
Once you board the ship, your room will not be ready right away. Take this time to explore the ship, enjoy a delicious lunch, or hop in the pool if you brought your swimsuits. There is so much to enjoy, so check your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App to see all the activities taking place.
Please feel free to stop back to
planDisney if you have any questions prior to your cruise. Once onboard,
Guest Services is available 24/7 to assist you with any questions or concerns. I look forward to seeing your onboard real soon! Bon Voyage!
Cathy
