We are going to be visting WDW August 2011, its our kids 1st time and i was wondering my daughter (4) is wants to wear her princess dress but i don't want my son (2) to be left out. Any suggestions that he won't overheat in? Thanks!

Hi Stephanie! There are actually quite a few non-princess costumes available in the parks and resorts that your son might like - Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Jack Sparrow, etc. Now whether or not he'll want to wear those in the heat is another story. You might be able to make your own Peter Pan outfit with a green t-shirt and just shorts, throw in an accessory belt or Peter Pan hat and he'll be all set. Same with a pirate outfit, he could get by with a simple bandanna or eye patch without loading up on a heavy costume. You'll also find pretend hook hands, swords and all sorts of other accessories at Walt Disney World.

Once he turns 3, if you'd like to go all out on your next visit, you can get your son an appointment at the Pirate's League. They can give him a Pirate name, face painting makeover and more. Costumes are sold separately so you wouldn't have to get one if it'd be too hot. You can even join in the fun and get a pirate makeover too!

Until then, he'll probably be happy with a few accessories or a hat to make him feel just as special as his sister.

Enjoy your first visit and I hope your prince and princess both make some amazing memories!
