Hi! I will be visting Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party this October 2011. I have been reading everything i can get my hands on about this special event, but I can't seem to see anywhere in writting that the rides are open during the party? Are they?

You bet your candy corn they are, Sara!  Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is one of my family's all time favorite Disney events not only for the exclusive parade and fireworks show, but also for the opportunity to enjoy some of Disney's most popular attractions with lower wait times.  The disclaimer here is that only select attractions are operational during the parties, but I can honestly tell you that in all the years we've been visiting, we've never (no, not one single time) encountered an attraction that is closed during the party.  That's not to say they aren't out there (somewhere) but I think you'll find that the attractions you most want to enjoy are fully operational.  Whatever you do, though, please set aside time for the parade and fireworks; you won't regret it!  Enjoy!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
