We are visting in August 2013 and have decided to go with the Quick Service Dining Plan. I was told that We could use 2 QS credits for a sit down character meal. Is this true or will I need to go another route?

    Hi there Kathryn,

Unfortunately, your Quick Service Dining Credits can only be used at Quick Service dining locations and therefore cannot be redeemed at Table Service Restaurants or Character Dining Experiences.  Which Dining Plan did you select for your upcoming vacation!?  If you chose the Quick Service Dining Plan, you may find it worthwhile to upgrade to the Standard Disney Dining Plan which will include a table service meal per day in addition to a quick service meal and a snack.  This may be the best option if you think you'll want to dine at a table service restaurant or character dining experience each day.  You can modify your existing reservation by calling the Walt Disney World Travel Company at (407) WDISNEY!

If you don't really care about table service dining, and are just interested in a Character Meal or two, then your best bet will be to just opt to pay out of pocket for those meals rather than upgrade your dining plan! A little tip when paying out of pocket:  The Character Breakfasts are priced less than lunch and dinner and the character interaction is just as great! Booking during breakfast is a great way to meet the characters while saving a few pennies!

    Best Wishes,
