    Our 1st vist to wdw 11/24-12/1 staying at AOA. Two kids girl 8 & boy 5. Which is better, the Very Merry Mickey Christmas party or the, Pirates & Pal wishes cruise? Trying to stay on budget, so we need to choose only one. Thanks for you help!

    Kristen, unlike most dilemmas in life, this question only has good answers. Either choice will be a fun filled experience for your family.

    Just last week I sailed with my family on the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage. Snacks, Captain Hook, and Smee are part of the fun before you even board the boat. Once aboard you are entertained by Patch while sailing across the Seven Seas Lagoon to an amazing viewing spot for the Magic Kingdom fireworks. My favorite aspect was the up close view of the Electrical Water Pageant. I love the catchy music and blinking lights of this classic show!

    Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party has hot chocolate and cookies, special shows, Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, fireworks, characters in their Christmas finery, snow on Main Street, U.S.A., and most major attractions are open. This party is a blast and shows off the beautifully decorated Magic Kingdom. The event does offer many more choices of rides and entertainment than the pirate voyage.

    Is your five year old son obsessed with pirates? Then consider the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage.Do your children love the Magic Kingdom and its many rides? Then extra hours of enjoying the park in the dark might be your best choice. Also consider that MVMCP is only offered on select evenings during the holidays while the fireworks cruise is offered almost every night year round.

    Remember either choice is an awesome one. Enjoy your magical vacation during the holidays!
