Hi after many visits to Walt Disney World with my mum, we are staying for the first time this September at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I have heard that AK offer painting classes - is this correct? Also, are they suitable for absolute beginners? Thanks Sue

    Hi, there!

Susan, I'm so happy to hear you're planning another Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Now more than ever is the time to visit!

You and your mom are going to just love staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. The beautiful architecture, breathtaking views, and incredible dining make this unique Resort hotel one of my absolute favorites! Did I mention the outstanding recreational offerings? You won't find a Disney Resort hotel with more interesting or educational programming than Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. I especially love Night Vision Animal Viewing at the Uzima Overlook!

Wild About Painting, a guided painting class, is currently offered on the Jambo House Balcony on Sundays and Wednesdays. With a complimentary drink in hand, Guests paint and take home a wild creation! I haven't taken the class myself, but the minimum registration age is 12-years old which makes me think that it's perfectly suitable for beginners. During my last stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge a few months ago, the Wild About Painting class was $50 per person plus tax, but that price is subject change at any time. To reserve a spot, simply stop by the Concierge Desk in the lobby.

When my family visits Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, a dinner at Sanaa is an absolute must-do. This fabulous restaurant is located in Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village which is just a short walk away from Jambo House. A meal at Sanaa promises fantastic views of Sunset Savanna and delicious food inspired by African and Indian cultures. If you visit, be sure to try the Indian-style Bread Service with all nine accompaniments. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

I hope this was helpful, Susan. Please let me know if you have any other questions!
