Hi Deb!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad that you found us hEAR and I'm happy to be your planEAR today!
How exciting that you'll be making your way to The Happiest Place on Earth so soon! I can tell that you're already California dreaming by doing some
Disneyland Resort resEARch. Mickey and his pals are
returning the magic to the parks and resort hotels somewhat cautiously as the world still ebbs and flows in various stages of reopening. Currently,
characters and princesses are out and about in the parks, however, they are doing so in a socially distanced manner and in kind of a surprise pop-up fashion. While they sadly cannot give hugs or autographs at the moment, you can see them throughout the day in non-scheduled mini-parades (called cavalcades) sitting in
Main Street U.S.A. Vehicles, standing in gardens or on balconies, and also making unscheduled group visits at the
Disneyland Railroad Main Street U.S.A. Station. Because these viewings are hard to plan around and you have a quest in mind, booking a
Character Dining Experience is going to be your best bet at ensuring that you can spend some time with Royalty.
I am happy to say that yes, the
Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough experience is open! However, it is just that, a walkthrough and not a Princess viewing spot. But please feel free to dress like royalty yourselves and take as many pictures inside as you'd like. And don't forget to enjoy
The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel's Undersea Adventure,
Snow White's Enchanted Wish, and the
Storybook Land Canal Boats which are all themed to some of our favorite friends.
As for
Dining Reservations for table service meals, those open up 60 days in advance for all Disneyland guests.
Flo's V8 Cafe in Carsland in Disney California Adventure Park is actually a Quick-Service dining location that doesn't require a reservation at all. And even better, you're able to utilize
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering at Flo's which I love because it's such a time saver. Pro Tip: Make sure that you update your
Disneyland Mobile App a few days before your arrival to ensure you're using the latest version.
I hope that this helped to plan your upcoming Disney Days, Deb! Be sure to follow the
official planDisney Instagram account for even more tips and tricks. And if you have any more Disneyland Resort planning questions, We're All Ears!
