Can you have visitors at the resort and can they use the transportation if they have park tickets?

    Hi Paige!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney!  Just like you are always welcome to be our guest here, it sounds like you're excited to welcome some visitors to be your guest during your stay at Walt Disney World Resort.  I always feel like the magic of a Disney vacation is best shared with friends and family!

Paige, you'll be happy to know that you are welcome to have visitors stop by while staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel.  I chatted with a Cast Member to make sure I was sharing the latest information to help you and your visitors enjoy a wonderful day.  If your visitors are just stopping by as day guests, they should be able to share your name and room number with the Cast Member at the security booth to gain entrance to the resort.  She did recommend letting the Front Desk know that you'd be expecting a guest so they can share that with security and also inform you of any updates on visitor policies.  If your visitors would like to stay overnight, they would need to be added to your room reservation as registered guests.  This would also allow them to access all of the benefits of staying in the Disney Resorts Collection including Early Theme Park Entry and complimentary parking.

While all guests are welcome to use Disney transportation to navigate between the resorts, theme parks, and Disney Springs, parking at the resort hotels is only available for registered guests of the resort or those who are day guests while enjoying select reservations and experiences.  I also received confirmation from a Cast Member that if your visitors are not registered guests of the resort and they plan to travel to the parks with you, they would need to move their car to theme park parking and then meet up with you at the main entrance.

Before your vacation, you'll want to make sure that everyone in your travel party is linked to your Family and Friends List.  This will allow you to share and make plans together such as reserving Lightning Lane entrances and entering Virtual Queues.  Did you know that you only need to purchase one Memory Maker for your party and can share photos with up to 25 people on your Family and Friends List during your trip?  This is the perfect way to capture all of those great ride photos together.  Some of my favorite ride photos have come from making funny faces with the hitchhiking ghosts in The Haunted Mansion and the serious look on our faces as my family challenges each other in Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin - we don't mess around on that attraction!

Paige, I hope this helps you plan a magical time for both you and your visitors!  Please stop by planDisney again if you have any other vacation planning questions!
