Hello there, Susan, and welcome to planDisney!
One of my family’s favorite pastimes is relaxing in the sun and zipping down the slides at the Disney Resorts Collection hotels’ swimming pools. It’s my pleasure to share what I know about visiting these cool spots around property.
Officially, only registered Resort hotel Guests are permitted to use the swimming pools. You will find that the pools are gated with a room key card entry. There are some hotels that share access. For example,
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort—French Quarter and
Riverside and
Disney’s Beach Club Resort and
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort allow pool hopping for their Guests.
You could check with a friendly Cast Member at the Resort hotel’s front desk to see if your visitors can be added to your hotel room’s registration so that they can join you at your on-site pool. But the general rule is that the pools are for those who have paid to enjoy the amenities.
AN EXTRA GEM: As a local to Walt Disney World Resort, I often find myself exploring the grounds of the Resort hotels. Even beyond the pools, there is so much to do and see! The Resort hotels are the homes of some amazing restaurants and shops.
Susan, you’re only a few sleeps away from your Most Magical adventure. If you have any additional questions before, during, or even after your holiday,
revisit us here at planDisney. Magic always,
LeAndra
