Greetings, Fatim,
As my family also has members with disabilities, I’m very grateful for the
accommodations offered by the Disneyland Resort. In most cases, accommodations are available without any pre-registration. This is especially the case for
Guests with mobility disabilities. For example, Guests in
wheelchairs or Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) who would be unable to climb stairs may visit with a Cast Member at select attractions to reserve a return time to use an entrance that would bypass the stairs in the attraction queue. Guests who may need more time to load into attraction vehicles or who may need an accessible ride vehicle available at select attractions may likewise make arrangements with Cast Members upon joining the attraction queue or approaching the loading area.
Some Guests with certain disabilities that make it difficult to use a traditional queue may qualify for the
Disability Access Service (DAS). Registration for DAS is done during an interview with an authorized Guest Relations Cast Member who can help determine the available accommodations that are most appropriate for each Guest’s specific needs. This interview may be arranged by visiting one of the several
Guest Relations locations throughout the theme parks. Or between two and 30 days before arrival, Guests may also request a video chat from the
DAS registration page.
Before entering the virtual queue for a pre-arrival DAS registration video chat, you will need to have your
theme park tickets linked to your Disneyland Resort account and
theme park reservations booked. Also, note that Guests in the virtual queue are serviced on a first-come basis and a specific time for the online video chat can’t be scheduled. In our experience with DAS pre-registration via video chat, wait times can be multiple hours. So it is a good idea to set aside enough time for the Guest seeking DAS registration to be available to join the video chat for the interview.
Thanks for visiting us at planDisney, Fatim. I know how much it means to fellow Guests to have plans in place ahead of time to make the most of a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth. If there are any other questions you may have or other advice we can offer to help you have peace of mind before your visit, I hope you’ll
send us another request soon. If you’d like, you may also
email the Disneyland Resort Disability Services or call them at (407) 560-2547.
Have a magical time, Fatim!
