1st x visitor. Landing @ 10:30pm. Takin ME to CSR. Magic hours for MK is untill 2am. We are definitely night owls. We have no concept of travel times @ WDW and from airport. Should we purchase a ticket for this day as well? Will we have time for fun?

    Hi David!

I recommend getting a good night sleep instead so that you can get an early start in the morning!

If you land at 10:30 pm, it will take between 15 and 20 minutes to get from the gate to the Magical Express loading area.  Once there, you might have to wait a while for a bus and then you have the trip to Walt Disney World, which could take as long as an hour, especially if your bus makes a stop at another resort before arriving at yours!  Thus you might not show up until midnight and I'm assuming you have nothing but carry-on luggage.  If you checked something and have to retrieve it yourself before going to Magical Express, it will take even longer!

After arriving at your hotel, you'll have to check-in and then you'll have to wait for a bus to the Magic Kingdom.  At that time of night, you might have to wait 20 to 30 minutes for the bus to come and then it still has to dive to the Magic Kingdom.

Bottom line is I don't think you will get to the Magic Kingdom before 1 am.  Thus I recommend skipping the Magic Kingdom and going to sleep instead.  I always recommend that guests show up at a park about 30 minutes before its posted opening time in the morning.  That's because one can get more things done in the first hour or two than later on the in the day when the parks are crowded.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
