I will be visitng Fort Wilderness for the first time, I have heard it is best to get around by golf carts. I was wondering if i can bring my own golf cart?

    Hi Laurie,

Having an electric golf cart at Fort Wilderness Campground I believe is a "must".  Whenever I have stayed there, if I didn't have a golf cart, it would have been torture to either walk to all the different places that we love so much there or I thought it took a long time with waiting for the different buses to come along (in the "old days" they used to have the trams and they were at least fun to ride around in, so you didn't mind as much if it took a bit longer to get where you wanted to go!).  If you have your own golf cart, you can certainly bring it and I highly recommend it as the other option of renting one can get very pricey depending on your length of stay (I think they are approximately $59.00 per day plus applicable taxes). I love seeing all of the private golf carts that guests bring, some of them really decorate them in true Disney fashion and it's almost like seeing a Disney parade of golf carts when I am there....so much fun!  Have a great time at one of my favorite places in WDW!

    Best wishes,
