visiting with a 3-yr old this summer on a budget so we limited ourselves to only 3 dining experiences ($$ or less). We chose: Cape May cafe, Sci-Fi and Tony's. In reading the panel, sounds like we could find something more unique than Tonys...suggestions?

For dining on a budget, stick with character breakfasts since they are much less expensive than lunch or dinner. The Cape May Cafe Breakfast is delicious. The restaurant is cheery and the characters in their beach attire are adorable. This is a great place to dine before a morning at Epcot or the Hollywood Studios. You could also schedule a later breakfast (call it brunch) after a morning of touring at either of these parks. Utilizing breakfast prices for a brunch is also a great cost-alternative.

I happen to love the Sci-Fi Dine-In, however my son became scared of the "monster" movies being shown on one of our visits. Dining inside a  vintage convertible"car" at twilight though is a great experience. This is a very unique restaurant.

Tony's is a nice restaurant but probably not one of the most unique at WDW. Instead, I would suggest the Crystal Palace for dining with the Hundred Acre pals. Outside of the Magic Kingdom and only a boat ride away is the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge. This restaurant is always a hoot!

Reserve a breakfast or lunch to save money and eat counter-service for dinner.
