Hi! Visiting this year from 10/16 to 10/23. I know that MNSSHP is still up in the air, but what other cool things are there to see/do at the other parks typically for Halloween time. Also, things planned for the 50th celebration that we should be aware of?

    Hi there, Dakota!

Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. I'm so excited to hear you've already got a fall Walt Disney World Resort vacation planned! I'm also planning a trip for October, and it can't get here soon enough. Halloween time is my favorite time to visit.

I visited this year during the month of October, and while I really missed Mickey's Not-So Scary Halloween Party, there were still plenty of SPOOKTACULAR happenings around Walt Disney World Resort! Magic Kingdom Park was decked out in fall decor, and Cast Members were wearing their iconic Halloween Party costumes. At select times throughout the day, Frontierland was filled with the spooky sounds of the The Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet. Fun tip: Check out each Cadaver Dan's costume to see how they "died"! Specially themed Halloween treats could be found at lots of locations throughout Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom Park, and Disney Springs - I know this, because I think we tried them ALL! My fingers are crossed that maybe the Happy Haunts will soon announce some dates for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for this fall, and Grim Grinning Ghosts will be invited to come out to socialize!

Epcot will be celebrating the Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine Festival through November, so you'll definitely want to check out all the festival booths and sample delectable bites and beverages from around the world. While in Epcot, you'll have a chance to experience a brand-new family-friendly attraction in the France Pavilion of World Showcase - Remy's Ratatouille Adventure! This new attraction is set to open on October 1, 2021 as part of Walt Disney World Resort's 50th Anniversary Celebration.

"The World's Most Magical Celebration" begins on October 1, 2021, and will be an 18-month event. The celebration will last from October 1, 2021 through March 2023. 18 months of fun new experiences are being planned for all four theme parks during this time! Each theme park icon (Cinderella Castle, Spaceship Earth, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and the Tree of Life) will light up the night with special projection lighting packages in celebration of this milestone anniversary. EARidescence seems to be the color scheme of the Anniversary Celebration - Mickey and Minnie Mouse debuted their new shiny purple and teal outfits recently, and they're fabulous!

I'm sure there will be lots of information coming out in the next few months about all the magical things on the horizon for the fall. I encourage you to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog, as they will release the most up-to-date news and announcements about Walt Disney World Resort.

Thanks again for stopping by! Please come back with any questions as you plan your fall getaway - we're happy to help.
