Visiting 11/11-11/17 w/our 3 kids (8, 5, 2). Would love your thoughts on single vs. double stroller. Remember the hassle of a double stroller on buses and in a crowded park from our last visit 2 years ago, but not sure our 5 yr old can make it without.

    Hi Jennifer!

I struggled with this too and ultimately ended up purchasing a double stroller for my children.  Best decision ever!  I have the City Mini Double which isn't quite as wide as 2 single strollers put together.  We've used it several times at Walt Disney World since we got it and haven't had any major issues.  We've been during the super crowded times around Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas just last year and I don't know what I would have done without it.  There's no way my husband could carry around my almost 40lb son.  The only times I have issues maneuvering it is when we are trying to get through a congested area where a show or attraction has just let out a large group of people.  I either try to push on through or just sit to the side for a few minutes and wait for it to clear out.

Another option that might work for you if you are still worried about a double stroller is using 2 singles.  Moms Panel Jonas always rents 2 City Mini's when he vacations to Walt Disney World.  It is easier to get through crowds.  This way, you can just park one of the strollers at an attraction and send your husband to go pick it up when your 5 year old is tired and is ready to rest.  You don't need to be pushing an empty stroller around most of the day.

As far as a double stroller on transportation, I have never had an issue.  Usually the guests are pretty accommodating when they see a large stroller coming and will help make room where possible.  I have had to wait for the next monorail a couple times, but that's about it.

    Have a magical day!
