Hi! I am visiting the week before Memorial Day Weekend of 2020 (May 16th-20th). What are your thoughts on the crowds during this time? It is a few days before MDW starts but I am wondering if MDW crowds will impact those days before? Thanks!

    Thanks for your question!

Mid-May classically enjoys some very low crowd levels. I actually was there many years ago with my then-girlfriend, now-wife, and the crowd levels were some of the lowest we had ever experienced.

Please don't expect an empty theme park. Those days just don't happen. But I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the shorter-than-average wait times for attractions. I would expect that the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge area will still be very busy, as it is the newest area at Walt Disney World. I also would keep an eye out for larger, but still very manageable crowds in Epcot on the weekends due to the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. You may want to save Epcot for one of your last two days, as locals love to visit Epcot over the weekend for the great food stands in the World Showcase.

You will also still want to make any Dining Reservations and FastPass+ plans, as usual. You don't want to get shut out of those experiences that you have been dreaming of!

Write me back directly if you need any suggestions on places to eat, or things to do. We love to help!

    Have a Magical Vacation!
