Hello, We will be visiting the week of Christmas and I am looking for the planned Christmas events and activities. Will there be fireworks and any parades?

Hello Shana! Mickey and Minnie love Christmastime! They are busy getting all the details in place to make the holidays extra magical for Guests of the Walt Disney World Resort!

The Disney Parks will be celebrating the holidays from November 6th through December 30th! This year, fireworks will not be part of the seasonal celebration but at Magic Kingdom Park, yuletide Guests will be able to enjoy a very special holiday projection show! The canvas for the projection show will be nothing less than Cinderella Castle! I visited during Christmastime last year and had the chance to see a holiday projection show on the castle. It was an awesome sight! I'm sure the show this year will leave everyone in the spirit of the season just like last year!

Traditional parades will not take place, but don't worry, some of your favorite characters will be appearing in their holiday finest throughout the Disney Parks! The characters can be found making surprise cavalcade appearances. The jolly old elf himself will also be visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth during the holiday season! Santa can be found making appearances in all four of the Disney Parks!

Shana, if you're looking for some holiday dining, I want to make two recommendations. First, Minnie will be hosting a festive holiday-themed meal at Hollywood and Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios! Don't worry, they'll have all of the Halloween decorations put away in plenty of time before Christmas! Assisting Minnie will all of the preparations will be Santa Goofy! What could possibly go wrong?! A more traditional meal that might have a holiday feel to it would be to dine at Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom Park. This is a colonial-themed dining experience and is very pretty at Christmastime!

One final recommendation that I want to share is to enjoy the Christmas trees at Disney Springs! These are not just your typical trees decorated for Christmas! It takes some special elves (maybe dwarfs) to decorate these trees as they are decorated in the theme of our favorite Disney characters and movies! This is such a special display! I hope you can find time to enjoy it!

Shana, come back to visit us at planDisney as you prepare for your special holiday visit! May I be the first to wish you a Merry Christmas!
