    Hi Sara!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

The hardest steps are figuring out when to come to Walt Disney World and where to stay so you are well on your way!  Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite Disney Moderate Resort so I think you made a great choice.

With almost a week at Walt Disney World, you will be able to get a lot accomplished.  I suggest that you plan on spending two days in the Magic Kingdom and I suggest the following itinerary:
    • Epcot
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom
    • Magic Kingdom
    • Rest at your hotel / Explore Downtown Disney
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios
    • Magic Kingdom

You will want to modify that based on whether you want to do much on your arrival day and departure day.  Since it is your first time visiting, i suggest picking up the tour book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is a great book for first time visitors as it is full of information, but it is not overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  It will give you a good feel of everything there is to do at Walt Disney World.

Our responses are limited in length, but I would be happy to help you more, especially with dining.  Just write back with more questions.  You can send them directly to me or any other panelist!
