Visiting WDW, w/ 3yr old late May 2011.Biggest stress point is transportation.Staying at Floriday's, they do have shuttles, worried about too many transfers, too much time wasted going in/around parks.Hotel will drop us at Epcot, should we rent a car? HELP

    Hi Jude!

May is a great time to go to Walt Disney World!  My recommendation is that you rent a car for your stay because you have a young child and you are staying in a hotel outside of Walt Disney World Property.  If you choose to use your hotel shuttle to Epcot and then Disney transportation, you could be looking at spending between 2 to 3 hours per day just getting around!  It may sound like I am exaggerating the transportation time, but I assure you that I am not!  Renting a car does cost money, but the frustration avoided and time saved may be well worth the added expense.  Keep in mind that you will have to pay a parking fee every day to park your car at the Parks (currently as I am answering your question, it is $14.00 a car).  If you save your parking receipt, then you will be able park your car at the other 3 Theme Parks for no additional charge.  Also I would recommend bringing a GPS, if you have one to help you navigate around.  I always bring my GPS to Walt Disney World when I am renting a car.

I hope that you and your family make some amazing memories on your next trip to Walt Disney World!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
