Hi Victoria and welcome back to planDisney!
My family usually travel from here in the UK to
Walt Disney World during our school summer holidays, in August. Although the weather can be extremely hot, with thunderstorms in the afternoons, if you come prepared, it's a pretty good time of year to visit.
Top Tip 1 - Be sure to pack sun hats, cooling towels, fans and ponchos as well as plenty of sun cream.
We generally find that crowds are manageable (especially towards the end of the month when some of the US schools resume) and visiting at this time of year also has the added bonus of us being able to attend one of the early
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties (dates are subject to change).
If things remain the same next year, as they were this year, then yes, as a
Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guest, you will be able to purchase tickets to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party one week before they go on general sale.
Top Tip 2 - The easiest way to book your tickets, from the UK, is via the "Chat With Us" option on the
My Disney Experience App. You can find the "Chat With Us" option on the My Disney Experience App by clicking on the "≡" (hamburger) symbol in the bottom right hand corner of the home screen and scrolling down to the Help & Feedback section.
You can expect information relating to the 2026 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties to be announced on the Disney Parks Blog towards the end of April/beginning of May 2026. To give you an idea of what to expect, in the meantime, be sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog post titled "
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Dates & Teaser Treats" from 12th May 2025.
I hope that this information has been of help, Victoria. Please feel free to re-visit us, here at planDisney, if we can be of any further assistance with the planning of your trip.
Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
Emma
