I am visiting WDW with my two young children (5 and 2). What are the best restaurant recommendations for dinner in Magic Kingdom or at one of the resorts? We already have ADR's at Chef Mickey's (breakfast) and the Whispering Canyon Cafe. Thanks!

First of all you've made excellent choices so far.  If you want to dine inside the Magic Kingdom I would suggest a meal at Liberty Tree Tavern.  It's a character meal that serves up traditonal Thanksgiving type fare family style.  In the past we've seen Minnie, Goofy, Chip, Dale and Pluto all dressed in their finest colonial garb.  It is a family favorite dining location for us.

You might also consider a meal at 'Ohana.  The food there is also served family style and though the menu might be too adventurous for choosey eaters, they are happy to make accommodations (like mac'n'cheese) for little ones.  The real draw for kids though are the coconut races and other games that go on in the dining room.  It's another must do for us each trip.  I bet your family would enjoy either of these places.

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
