Hi, visiting WDW 6/29-7/6 for the 1st time with 2 Boys 11&3. Staying @ the Contemp. in the Garden Wing. Any certian rooms better than others that we can request or we were thinking about seeing if we could move to the Tower? Any Suggestions?

Hi there Jennifer! You're going to love Disney's Contemporary Resort! This is one location that has always felt like the heart of Walt Disney World to me. And the monorail traveling through the resort lobby is still the coolest way to get around!

If I were staying in the Garden Wing, I would book a Garden View category and then request a ground floor location facing the pool area. How incredibly convenient to be literally steps away from the water slide, hot tub, poolside activities and the Sand Bar which is a counter-service eatery and bar that serves up various meals and snacks for the entire family, including hamburgers and ice cream. There is also a nice covered walkway connecting the Outer Building to the Main Building.

A great unofficial fan site for all things Contemporary Resort is at: www.disneycontemporary.com. There you will find maps of the resort with room location specifics. Tower and Garden Wing rooms are identical inside unless you are booking a deluxe room option or a suite so, your selection really comes down to price point and views.

Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and feel free to send more questions my way in the days leading up to your June-July trip!
