    We are visiting WDW Thanksgiving week. I noticed that the "Very Merry Christmas Party" is not scheduled for that week, but all around it, a few days before and then after. Why is that?

    Hi Cynthia!  Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is such a fun event! 

    It is true, however, that they generally don't have them the week of Thanksgiving.  This is due mainly to the large crowd levels that week.  Since the whole park isn't open during the parties, and ticket numbers are limited, they keep the parks open and available to everyone the week of Thanksgiving in order to give more people a chance to visit Magic Kingdom at night.  (my favorite time to be there!)

    I hope you are still able to fit the party into your trip, but I am sure your vacation will be magical either way!
