We are visiting WDW Thanksgiving 2010. Instead of fighting the crowds(in the parks) on our arrival day, I wanted a suggestion on where to have Thanksgiving dinner for 10? We are staying at the poly. Will it be next to imposs. to get a ADR?

    Hi Wendy!

Group dining with an exceptionally large party can be difficult, but I don't think you will have any problems if you call (407) WDW-DINE and make a reservation as close to 180 days out as possible.  Also a party of 10 is large, but not exceptionally large.  Based on my experience, Table Service restaurants like 'Ohana in the Polynesian, Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge, and Restaurant Marrakesh in Epcot can easily handle large parties.  The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds can usually accommodate a large party as well.

Another option is to break your party up into two parties and be seated at different tables.  The only problem with this is the tables won't necessarily be next to each other though the Cast Members will try; I've seen it both ways over the years.  If you go when the restaurant first opens, or during a less busy time (say late in the night), then I've seen a higher probability of success in getting the tables right next to each other.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
