We're visiting WDW this summer w/ a 4 and 5 year old & are considering a waterpark. Will it be too crowed in July to enjoy? Is it worth visiting with preschoolers? Also this is our 1st DVC trip. What is the best way to book tickets as members? TY!!

Welcome Home, Cecelia! You'll soon look forward to hearing that phrase each time you return to your Disney Vacation Club Resort, for years to come!

We've only enjoyed the waterparks in Walt Disney World during the summer months, so I think you'll be just fine. There is shade and, if you enjoy all of the watery attractions, you'll stay cool, too. Head there first thing in the morning in order to find just the right home base (water view? under a palm tree?) and before the sun really starts to heat things up. You can then head back to your resort or another park if you decide that you've had enough (I warn you, however, that you'll probably stay until park close. On our first visit to Disney's Blizzard Beach, we had planned to leave around lunchtime...never happened! We all were just having so much fun!) And yes, your preschoolers will absolutely LOVE it, too! We once spent the entire day at Tike's Peak, "a special play area just for preschoolers and little kids." Your family will have a wonderful time!

Your Disney Vacation Club Membership entitles you to a discount on tickets to both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. At the time of this writing, that discount is $4 per adult and $3 per child ages 3-9.  Just bring your Disney Vacation Club Member ID and a photo ID with you to the ticket window at either water park to purchase your discounted tickets.

Please send me any additional questions as you plan your first trip as DVC Members! This is so exciting and I'd love to help!
