Hi Jennifer, welcome to planDisney!
Walt Disney World Resort is a practically perfect place for kids to live out age-appropriate adventures. As an infant, my daughter enjoyed the sights and sounds of "it's a small world" from the comfort of my lap. As a tween, she now leaves mama behind to enjoy Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith.
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules require children under 7 to be accompanied by someone over the age of 14 on all attractions. Since your nephews have hit that magic number, they can soar high on Dumbo the Flying Elephant and battle Evil Emperor Zurg on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin all by themselves. The first ride my daughter rode by herself was the Barnstormer at Magic Kingdom park. My son and I were seated in the row behind her, which gave us front-row seats to witness her visible (and audible) delight. My son turned seven last month and is still deciding what he wants his first solo ride to be. Before that ride happens, I'll be sure to review the safety rules and expectations for behavior with him. Big kid privileges come with extra responsibility.
It's great that your nephews have a built-in ride buddy. You're all going to have so much fun together! I bet they'd especially love to become
Wilderness Explorers at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. The wilderness must be explored!
