We will be visiting WDW soon. I have received a guest assistance pass in the past and I know that changes have been made to that system and you can get additional fast pass options, how does this work? What if fast passes are all gone?

    Hi Pam,
Thanks for submitting your question to us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Yes, there is a new system in place for Guests that need additional assistance, called the Disability Access Service (DAS) Card. The DAS is designed to work in conjunction with the FastPass+ system to allow Guests with disabilities (including non-apparent disabilities) the opportunity to experience all of the attractions the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer.

When you would like to use your DAS Card, you approach a Cast Member working the queue of the attraction you'd like to experience and tell them you have a DAS Card. They will give you a return time that is based on the current standby wait time for the attraction; the DAS system is separate from the FastPass system, so even if all the FastPasses are gone, you will still get a return time for that attraction. When you return at the appointed time, you will wait in the FastPass line for that attraction.

It is recommended that you can use the DAS Card in conjunction with your three FastPass+ selections made in My Disney Experience.

Pam, if you have any additional questions, please come back and see us!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
