I am visiting WDW soon and I’ve made dining reservations. Some of them are later then I would like. I know that there are cancellations at the last minute. Will I get charged if I modify the dining to an earlier time if the reservations is for that day?

    Hello, Alison!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are delighted to answer your question regarding your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

First of all, GREAT job on planning ahead and already making Disney Dining reservations for your upcoming trip! I totally understand your situation. I am going in two weeks to Walt Disney World, and two of our reservations are a little late as well. I am calling every day just to check and see if there are any cancellations for an earlier time. I highly suggest you do this as well because you never know when a cancellation will be made to accommodate your preferred time.

Now, are you ready for some MAGICAL news? I just spoke to a Cast Member, and he said that you CAN modify a Disney Dining reservation time on the day of your restaurant visit without any penalty. The only stipulation is that you are required to dine at the same restaurant. If you change restaurants, you will then be charged the cancellation fee. Don't you just love happy endings?

If you have other questions, please let us know!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
