We will be visiting WDW soon and hoping to dine at Be Our Guest for lunch. I've heard that at lunchtime it is counter service and does not require a reservation. Is this correct? Thanks!

    Hi Annette!

I just love eating at the new Be Our Guest Restaurant in New Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom! I have eaten 8 lunches there since it opened! You are correct that the Be Our Guest Restaurant is a Counter Service or Quick Service restaurant for lunch (no reservations--you just have to wait in line). Typically, the Be Our Guest Restaurant opens for lunch at 10:30 am and closes for lunch at 2:30 pm (these times are subject to change and can vary during busier times of year but they are usually the normal times of operation for serving lunch). If you are going to the Be Our Guest Restaurant for lunch, a typical wait time is around 30 to 45 minutes to get in and order your food, but once you order, find a table, and get your beverages, the food is usually at your table already. I ate lunch there in the second week of July and got there before 11:00 am and experienced no wait to get in. My best tip would be to take an early lunch (I would suggest getting in line between 10:30 am to 11:15 am) so you can have a shorter wait time because the line and wait time builds nearer to the normal lunch time.  One of the other benefits of eating lunch at the Be Our Guest Restaurant is that you typically get to pick the room that you want to eat lunch in and after lunch you can walk around to explore the other rooms too!

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
