    We will be visiting WDW September 29th-October 27th! I was wondering if there are any special events planned for the 40th anniversary during this time?

    Hi Maureen,

    The celebrating for Walt Disney World's 40th anniversary has already begun.  There is some unique merchandise available at Walt Disney World in honor of this exciting milestone in the park's history.  I picked some very cool mementos up when I was there in March.  There's a big pin-trading event planned for early September in celebration of the big anniversary, too. 

    I imagine that there will be some very exciting events announced as the actual anniversary date approaches.  My advice to you is to keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog so that you can be among the first to know about what celebrations will be taking place during your fall vacation.
