Hi Ann Marie,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds as if your youngest grandchild considers Moana 'Ohana as do my girls. She is family.
Though I have searched the stars for any sign of Moana, it seems that her wayfinding adventure continues. Even though her journey may take her far and wide, I am hopeful that she will find her way back. Keep checking the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest updates on her adventures.
In the meantime, I am fairly certain that your granddaughter can be distracted by the incredible rides and attractions at the Walt Disney World Resort. Disney's Contemporary Resort is my family's favorite resort. If your granddaughter still seems sad that Moana has not returned, try hopping on the resort monorail and going to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to visit
Moana Mercantile. On our last visit, I saw a Moana "Learn to Draw" sketchbook that could help your granddaughter hone her artistic ability. Drawing might be just the distraction she needs to pass the time until Moana returns. And if you have time, go see
Disney's Spirit of Aloha dinner show. The Polynesian-inspired dances mesmerized our girls on our last visit!
Ann Marie, I trust that you will have a fabulous time with your grandchildren. If, by chance, Moana makes a surprise return home, ask your granddaughter to find out the most fascinating mo'olelo (story) Moana encountered in her travels.
When Moana does return, I am certain that she will bring with her Kukuna o ka la (rays of the sun).
A hui hou (until we meet again),
Donyell
