Hi! We are visiting WDW in September. I read somewhere that character breakfasts begin before Magic Kingdom and Epcot open for the day. Is this true? And if so, how does that work, as far as actually getting into the park? Thank You!!

    Hi, Erin!

You are absolutely correct; many dining locations within the parks at Walt Disney World begin breakfast well before the parks open. Of course, Disney has made Guests' entrance to those reservations simple, so not to worry!

Guests with early morning Advanced Dining Reservations should arrive at the appropriate park up to 1/2 hour prior to their reservation. (You could get there earlier, too, should you want to do so.) This will enable them to go through bag check and arrive at the park entrance at least 20 minutes prior to reservation. There will be a Cast Member stationed at a sign for those who have reservations for tours and dining prior to the park open. Simply report to that CM with the name on your reservation (have your confirmation # with you, too) and you'll be allowed entrance into the park right then.

We like to arrive a few minutes before the recommended 10 minutes prior to ADR because we love to stop for photo opportunities when the parks are virtually empty. Some of my favorite family photos are of us on the way to a special breakfast because it looks as though there is no one else in the park except for us!

Have a wonderful trip, Erin! Be sure to send more questions as you think of them; we love to help!
