We are visiting WDW in September with my elderly grandparents who will have their own electronic wheelchairs. Do we have to rent Disney ECV or can we take ours in. does anyone know details?

    Hi Desiree!

Thanks for dropping by with your question. It's a great one! We have a special needs son so we always need an ECV (wheelchair) when visiting Walt Disney World. You are right--you can rent ECVs in the Parks. But you can definitely take your own in, as well. As a matter of fact, I usually recommend people rent from a Disney Featured Provider (if they do not bring their own) to eliminate the need to rent every day and turn in your ECV before leaving each Park. Disney Featured Providers are local privately owned companies who deliver directly to and from hotels, making the whole process extremely simple. Since your grandparents have their own, it will even be easier than that for them!

Please stop back by if there is anything else we can do to help you as you plan. I'm excited for your upcoming visit--September will be here before you know it! Here's wishing you a wonderful Walt Disney World visit.

    Have a magical day!
