I am visiting WDW with 4 other people. I want to make a reservation for 2 of us at one resort restaurant, and another reservation for the other 3 members of our party at a different resort restaurant. Is that possible to do?

    Hi Eulalia,

Welcome to planDisney! I see your trip is next month, and you’re within your dining reservation booking window. It sounds like you’ve already chosen your preferred dining locations, so let’s talk about making the reservations.

Unfortunately, you’re not able to hold two reservations for the same time frame. When you make the reservation, you are labeled as the primary Guest, and you’re unable to edit the primary Guest.  I actually tried this out in my own My Disney Experience app, and the system recognized that I had conflicting reservations. The app allowed me to choose which reservation to keep and automatically cancelled the other reservation. I recommend asking a Guest from the other party to book the dining reservation for the other Guests. It sounds like you’re the designated planner for your travel party, so maybe you can walk your friend through the steps on the Walt Disney World website or the My Disney Experience app.

Enjoy your visit and your dining reservations, Eulalia! I’m sure you’re already looking at the menus to see which dishes you’d like to try. Then you’ll have to return to the other group members and compare notes! That’s what I did after recently trying Biergarten Restaurant in EPCOT. I went home to my family and said we had to try it together on our next vacation! If you have any more questions before you head to Walt Disney World, please send them our way at planDisney!
