Hello, We are visiting WDW in October, Where is a nice inexpensive place to stay? Are the hotels that are located downtown disney ok? We are on a budget, so I would like to stay somewhere that is nice, but not dirty. Please help! Thanks

    Hi Ashante,

October is my favorite time of the year to visit the Walt Disney World Resorts! The weather is perfect and there are fun events like Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Epcot International Food & Wine Festival by Chase to add to the magic.

While I have never stayed at any of the Downtown Disney hotels, they can offer a nice savings. However, I would consider staying at a Walt Disney World Resort as you would save on transportation and have additional benefits as a guest of the Walt Disney World Resorts. You would not need to rent a car because you can use Disney's Magical Express to travel between the Orlando International Airport and your hotel. In addition, Disney transportation would take you from your resort to the theme parks without additional fees.

All of the Walt Disney World Resorts are clean and are constantly updated. My favorite moderate resort is Port Orleans Riverside. This resort along with its sister resort, French Quarter, are quick bus rides to all the parks.

At the value resort level, I like Disney's Pop Century or Disney's All-Star resorts. These are reasonable priced and come with the same benefits as the deluxe resorts.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
