We are visiting WDW in October 2013 with another family. It is their first trip, can I order the buttons that are available at MK's Town Hall ahead of time as a surprise? Also, we would like to room near eachother at POFQ, how do I request this? Thx.

Hi Tawn - While I don't know of a way you can order the buttons in advance, I do know that you can usually get them at your resort.  So, you should be able to get them for the other family before you head off to the parks.

As for room requests, they aren't guaranteed, but the resorts do try their best to accommodate you.  I'd recommend that you call the resort about ten days prior to arrival and ask for the "back office".  Then, let them know about your room request in as much detail as possible.  It's more difficult to make room requests once you arrive, because the rooms are generally assigned days in advance.

I hope that helps!  Have a great vacation!
