Ahoy Susan! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
When I checked into the Pirate Adventure Cruises, I contacted guest services. They contacted the actual excursion and it was confirmed that this adventure is only for children. My thought is that the boats used for this excursion are quite small and I feel like they may not be equipped to carry both adults and children.
Now I myself love Pirates and I have thought of a couple of different things that you can do to fulfill your sweet daughter’s Pirate adventures! My favorite Pirate experience is getting a Pirate makeover at
The Pirates League in Magic Kingdom Park. She could choose to be transformed into a Pirate Empress or even a Mermaid! I would recommend if she is up for it, bringing a Pirate or Mermaid Costume from home to complete the makeover. Prices for this makeover are similar to the Pirate Adventure Cruise.
Another favorite of mine is the
Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage. Your adventure will begin at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and you will start off with a refreshing beverage and snack. You will listen to tales of a Pirates life. You may even get to meet a couple of Pirates along the way! Your view of “Wishes Nighttime Spectacular” is so amazing and if the weather cooperates you can even watch the Electrical Water Pageant! If your daughter is sensitive to loud noise, I recommend picking up a pair of noise cancelling headphones (we use the Peltor brand that can be found on Amazon) for the fireworks.
I hope that I have helped you to find a great alternative for your daughter! Wishing you and your family a swashbuckling good time!
