Hi, We are visiting WDW this Oct & we are staying at the Polynesian. What attracted us was the convenience of the monorails & being close to MK. With 3 kids under age 9 do you think we made the right choice for our money?

Absolutely!  The monorail hotels offer unmatched convenience for families traveling with small children.  The ability to simply push a stroller onboard the monorail and zip over to the Magic Kingdom is a huge bonus.  Convenience aside though, the Polynesian is a beautiful resort with great restaurants and a fun volcano pool.  We've not stayed there yet, but my children love to visit.  They are in awe of the huge waterfall in the lobby and they love the music, foliage, and atmosphere.  I have a great picture of them draped all over the Tiki God statues at the Polynesian.

You may consider having breakfast with Lilo and Stitch at 'Ohana one morning.  And be sure to grab a spot on the white sandy Polynesian beach for the fireworks show at night.  Whatever you do though, don't second guess your decision.  I'm sure that your stay will be nothing short of magical.  Aloha!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
