We're visiting WDW in Oct. and purchased the park hopper. If we start at a park that closes early (ex. MK closes at 6 for Halloween party) and then park hop to Epcot at 6pm, will buses be avail to take us back to MK parking after we leave Epcot?

Hey Howdy Hey Evelia and welcome to planDisney!

Adding the Park Hopper Option to your tickets is such a great move! Starting in one park that may close early to finish it out in a park that will stay open later is a great way to get the most Magic out of your day. Often you might be able to get to the later park in time for fireworks or just a nice stroll around the park at night, which is a totally different and awesome experience! Thank you for your question on resort transportation at these later times. You've got a friend in me to share some answers with you! Let's giddy up and get to it!

With Resort Transportation, there are times during the day that you will be able to take a bus from park to park as long as you have the hopper option on your ticket. These busses usually start making their rounds around 2:00 p.m. EST as this is when hopping between parks is allowed. The schedule for when they stop can depend on many factors. To get a good solid indication, you might want to ask a Cast Member that evening to see when these options stop. I will tell you that getting back to Magic Kingdom from EPCOT can be super easy and a great way to experience a unique method of travel.

I wanted to let you know about Walt Disney World Monorail Transporation. This highway in the sky can take Guests at Magic Kingdom resorts to and from Magic Kingdom. There is also an Express Monorail that will take Guests from the parking lot to and from Magic Kingdom only. You will also have a chance to catch a monorail that will take you straight to EPCOT as well! So what you would do from Magic Kingdom is to take either the Resort or Express Monorail from Magic Kingdom and get off at the Transportation and Ticket Center which is also the stop for the Magic Kingdom parking lot. From there you would get onboard the monorail to EPCOT. At the end of the night, you will get on board the monorail from EPCOT to the Transporation and Ticket Center and you should be all set!

Disney Resort Transportation stops running approximately 1 hour after the parks close, so you should have plenty of time to get from EPCOT to Magic Kingdom. If you wanted to go to a different park other than EPCOT, on your way back, you can catch a bus to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort which is within walking distance of the parking lot to Magic Kingdom.

Taking the monorail from Magic Kingdom to EPCOT is a phenomenal experience. Sitting back and enjoying the ride will be filled with views you won't be able to get with any other form of transportation. Seeing Magic Kingdom and the resorts that surround them is such a great experience. The ride to EPCOT is also a very relaxing and comfortable way to reenergize for a fantastic evening.

Best of luck as you continue to plan for your trip later this year and if you have any further questions, please stop back and let us know, we would be happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
