Hi, we are visiting WDW Oct 29 - Nov 1 (Lake Buena Vista) and then going on the 3 night cruise from Nov 1st to the 4th. Do you have any advice for saving on transportation to and from WDW and to and from Port Canaveral?

    Hi Jason!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.  I may understand your question wrong, so please write back if I don't answer your question.

It looks to me that you are staying offsite in the Lake Buena Vista area and not at Walt Disney World.  If you were staying at Walt Disney World, you could use the free Disney's Magical Express Service to get you to Walt Disney World from Orlando International Airport.  Likewise, you could use it to get back to the airport and then catch a Disney Cruise Line bus or some other transportation to the port.

Since you are staying offsite, you should check on what kind of shuttle bus service your hotel provides to Walt Disney World.  It's been my experience that offsite hotels do not generally provide as good a service as Disney.  Thus you may want to rent a car to have more convenient access to the theme parks, water parks, resort hotels, Downtown Disney, etc.  If you have a rental car, then I suggest taking it to the cruise!  There are several rental car companies with offices in the Port Canaveral area and they provide free transportation to and from the cruise terminal.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
