We will be visiting WDW Oct 2013, how far in advance can I book the trip?

    Hi there, Karolyn!

The question isn't necessarily "when" but "with whom." Working with The Walt Disney Travel Company or a licensed Disney reseller is the way to go; with either of these options, if/when packages become available, there is usually a way to get you that package or better rate or new deal.

Right now, you're able to book full-on packages through the end of 2012; this would include Resort rooms, Magic Your Way tickets, and dining plans.

Reservations can be made for Resort rooms only 599 days in advance of your first night; packages can be added to those rooms later (again, only working with authorized Disney travel planners).

So it's really up to you. If there is a particular Resort you want to stay in and do not want to risk it selling out, go ahead and book the room now; if not, you can keep an eye on the specials rolling out months in advance.

But make sure you work with a provider who is a Disney specialist. That will ensure you the freedom to make the changes you want, when you want to make them.

    Happy planning!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
