We will be visiting WDW Oct 2014 and are choosing our resort. This year we stayed at AA Sports and are looking to stay at either CBR, POR, POFQ or CSR for our 2014 visit. Our son will be 4.5yrs old during our visit, which of these resorts do you recommend?

    Hi Rachel,

Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question. Choosing a resort can be one of the most important steps in planning a Walt Disney World vacation. While the resorts all have great theming, I think Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, specifically the special "pirate rooms", would be perfect for your little guy.

This resort has wonderful, bright theming and the pool is fashioned after a Spanish-style fortress in the Caribbean complete with water cannons, zero entry pool and water slide. Any boy would find this a great place to play. There is also a beach to add fun in the sand on a possible day or afternoon off from the parks. As I mentioned before, this resort has a section of rooms that are "pirate rooms". Upon entry into these rooms, you will feel as if you are entering a whole unique world of swashbuckling fun. The beds are built like pirate ships and the furniture looks like crates and barrels of the ships. It has a very Pirates of the. Caribbean feel to it and would be something he wouldn't forget. Keep in mind that you must specify these rooms when making your reservation as they are priced differently.

Another great aspect of this resort is how centrally located it is in the entire Walt Disney World Resort.

    Have a wonderful trip!
