We will be visiting WDW in November with our 5 yr old son for the 1st time. He is a huge Star Wars fan. Is the new Star Wars ride too scary for a child his age and any tips on timing for the Jedi training academy? Should we sign him up early in the AM?

    Hello Carla,

Sounds like the Force is with your son!

I have experienced the re-imagined Star Tours, and if your son is a Star Wars fan, this is a not to be missed attraction! If your son doesn't do well with motion sickness, it may not be for him. But I found my flight to be smooth. Disney and Lucas Films did everything they could to pack in as much Star Wars as possible into this attraction. And it's completely family friendly!

My tip for Jedi Training Academy is to get to Hollywood Studios early. Your son can sign up for the Academy as soon as the Park opens. Spots are first come, first serve so arriving in the morning is key! The Jedi Master likes his Padawans to be on time. Grab a Times Guide when you arrive to confirm Show Times.

I hope this helps! Enjoy your trip!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
