Hi, I will be visiting WDW in November, I have a 6 year old whom was diagnosed with schizophrenia, I try to avoid long lines and crowds when I take her anywhere, will the guest pass work for me?

    Hi, Rosa!

Regardless of lines for attractions, the theme parks are going to have crowds of guests.  This will be unavoidable, especially near the entrances and when first entering the parks.  Monorails, buses, and boats can have guests standing shoulder to shoulder at times.  I just want you to be aware so you can discuss this with your daughter's physician to get a professional opinion.

You would want to get  a Guest Assistance Card from Guest Services.  While this may not shorten your wait times, Cast Members can guide you to a waiting location that will hopefully be more comfortable for your daughter until it is your turn to enjoy the attraction.

Try to get to the parks early in the day when you will find the smallest crowds.  By mid-day when parks are the busiest, head back to your resort for a break.  My family loves a dip in the pool or even just a quick nap in the room.

Please discuss with your physician the fact that there will be crowds, loud noises, and some very stimulating attractions with special effects.  Perhaps he can give you some guidelines on what to avoid.  Let us know if there is anything specific that your little princess enjoys so we can guide you in the right direction.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
