Hi! We are visiting WDW in November 2014. My daughter will be a little over 3 & 1/2 years old at that time. In your opinion, is she too young to enjoy Fantasmic? We were really hoping to see it, but getting mixed opinions on whether it's age appropria

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Jillian ~

Traveling to Disney with kids is a whole new "world" and it is great seeing the magic through their eyes.

Fantasmic! is a fabulous show. I have been taking my boys to see it since they were born and they have done fine. I have heard some parents say that their kids were frightened so that is always a possibility.

Fantasmic! is held in a large outdoor amphitheater and lasts about 30 minutes. In the performance, all begins well until the Evil Queen gathers other Disney Villains and turns Mickey's imagination into a Nightmare Fantasmic! Of course in the end, Mickey prevails and all is well again.

There are times the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater is pretty dark. There is also a large snake and an impressive ginormous dragon that appear during the performance. The show features music, water effects, lasers, and fireworks. If you sit near the front, you may get a little damp from the water spray. Sometimes the music gets pretty loud. The fireworks could also startle your daughter.

Fantasmic! is not all dark though. It features a lot of upbeat Disney songs, popular Disney princesses, and some incredibly beautiful floats.

You could watch the performance on YouTube to get an idea of it before your trip. Just make sure you are watching the one for Disney's Hollywood Studios as a couple of the other Disney Parks also have a version of Fantasmic! If after watching the video you still think there may possibly be an issue, you may want to consider sitting near the back of the amphitheater or on an aisle so if she becomes frightened, you can leave with your daughter.

Please feel free to visit us again with any other questions. We will be hEAR for you up until you embark on your pixie dusted trail!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
