Hi. I will be visiting WDW for 6 nights in May with my husband and our 6 year old granddaughter. It is our first time and we'd like some suggestions as to what attractions and dining are best for us. We have 3 day passes and need help desperately.

    Hi Maria,

How exciting to be planning your first trip to Walt Disney World! Let me offer you some thoughts on planning your magical vacation.

First, you should decide which of the theme parks you will visit. You mention that you have three-day passes. If you have the park hopper option, you could split one day up and visit two parks in one day to cover all four theme parks. If you do not have the park hopper option, or if you prefer to select one park a day, that will also be enjoyable. I think that you will definitely want to visit Magic Kingdom, and I would recommend Epcot as well. To decide between Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom, consider your granddaughter's interests. If she is interested in Star Wars, there are lots of experiences for that in Disney's Hollywood Studios. If she prefers animals, a trip to Disney's Animal Kingdom is in order!

As to attractions to consider, I can offer a few in each park. At Magic Kingdom, the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is fun for the whole family, and she might enjoy Big Thunder Mountain Railroad if she is ready for a slightly more thrilling ride. If she loves princesses, consider Enchanted Tales with Belle and Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid. At Epcot, some of my favorites are Spaceship Earth, Journey into Imagination with Figment, and The Seas with Nemo & Friends. At Disney's Hollywood Studios, you might want to visit Star Wars Launch Bay and Toy Story Midway Mania!. Finally, at Disney's Animal Kingdom, consider Kilimanjaro Safaris and Kali River Rapids.

Do be sure to set up a My Disney Experience account so that you can make Disney FastPass+ selections to enjoy some attractions with a shorter wait time.

I would love to help you plan more Maria; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please do write back if you have any further questions.
