Visiting WDW next week and were thinking of relying on taxis for trasportation to/from the parks instead of renting a car. We are staying in a house ~10 miles outside of the parks. Is it easy to get a taxi when leaving the parks at the end of the day?

Taxis are readily available throughout Walt Disney World. When exiting the four theme parks, the taxis are in the following areas:

Animal Kingdom - near handicapped parking. It’ll be to your left after you exit the turnstiles.
Epcot - in the first parking lot past the Monorail Station.
Hollywood Studios - near handicapped parking
Magic Kingdom - you will first have to travel to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) via monorail or ferry boat. At the TTC, go past the ticket windows, then veer slightly right. Even better, take the resort monorail to a hotel(Contemporary, Polynesian or Grand Floridian) and get a taxi from one of those locations.

For faster, worry-free pick up, I would carry the phone numbers with you and call ahead. Mears Taxi is 407-699-9999. However you should have no problem securing a taxi on your departure from any of the theme parks. To help plan your budget, the mearstransportation.com website has a taxi fare estimator. In doing so, you may find that the taxi service serves you well or that a rental car would actually save you money.
